Henshaws Visual Impairment Awareness training courses are for employers and employees and for people who want to know more about visual impairment and how it can easily be accomodated in the workplace.

VIAT (Visual Impairment Awareness Training)

Henshaws offers a professionally delivered course to employers and employees that addresses the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act for Visual Impairment Awareness. The aims of the course are:

• To raise awareness of the differing needs of people who are blind or visually impaired.
• To develop skills in working with visually impaired people, enabling them to have greater mobility, confidence and independence.
• To examine the influence of the environment on visually impaired people.

The course will benefit those whose work brings them in to contact with visually impaired people, inlcuding:-

• Managers
• Employers & employees
• Voluntary and community organisations
• Public & Private sectors
