What happens next?
What happens after I become registered?
After registration, your name will be registered confidentially and held by the local Social Services department or the local voluntary society for people with a visual impairment on behalf of Social Services.
Social Services will then contact you to arrange for an initial meeting (at your home), where a Rehabilitation Officer will asses your needs. From this, an action plan is put together to ensure your needs are being met. Action points could be anything from arranging mobility training to the local shops to making sure that you can safely make a cup of tea.
